Group project undertaken by five 4th year BTech students majoring in Food Technology and Food Engineering which looked at marketing Maori foods to the consumer. Results presented in a seminar 30-5-2000.





Development of an organic kumara-based baby food (2001)

Final year project with a Ngati Porou group looking at added value to organic produce grown around Ruatoria. Baby Food is the suggested product.

Remote area power supply for marae (2001)

Final year technology project looking at independent power supply for Huatau marae (Manawatu) where solar, wind and hydroelectric generation were assessed.

Ngati Rahiri Hapu o Te AtiawaProject being undertaken by the extramural students in this paper looking at a coastal block of land owned by the hapu and about to be returned from lease. A range of options - agriculture, horticulture, NRM, landscape will be investigated by the students.
