MASSEY UNIVERSITY MASTERATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR MAORI STUDENTS
Massey University

Purpose

Massey Masterate Scholarships are offered for the purpose of encouraging postgraduate study and research at Massey University. One scholarship will be reserved for a Maori student.

Eligibility

The scholarships are open to persons who are registered, or eligible to register, as candidates for a master's degree at Massey University, or who expect to be eligible to register within five months of closing date of application.

Term

Each scholarship is tenable for one year.

Research

Each scholar shall, during the tenure of the scholarship, be enrolled as a student of Massey University and shall pursue a full time programme of research (at least 100 points) towards a master's degree.

Payments

The current value of the scholarship is NZ$13,000 per annum. In addition to the emolument, the scholarship covers registration and fees at the New Zealand rate.

Application

Applicants apply for the scholarship on the form provided by the Campus Information Services Officer, Massey University, Private Bag 11-222, Palmerston North, New Zealand.

Applications close by 1 July, to commence research in the current year, or 1 October in the year preceding that in which the award is to be held.
